Create mockups for the front cover and contents pages of two issues of the same fashion magazine aimed at a sophisticated target audience of ages 16-25.
The ethnicity and gender of your target audience is open to your own choice. However, you need to be cognisant about the availability of potential models should you choose to go from 'found image' mock up to original production.
Tasks:
i) Find an existing magazine that fulfills the brief and carefully consider the generic features and house style.
ii) Find images that will allow you to construct the cover and contents pages using either Adobe Photoshop 3 or Adobe Illustrator, or a combination of the two.
iii) Carefully consider the representation you wish to coniv) Combine anchoring text and image in a dynamic way to fulfil the brief.

You’ve had a good go at the front covers and it is clear that you have a decent eye for layout and design. You especially seem to have grasped the placement of sell lines and the selection of images. The idea in the task was to produce two covers that shared common codes and conventions. I think you could have done that, but perhaps I needed to be clearer with my instructions.
ReplyDeleteWhen you are presenting your work, consider some brief supporting text and also the layout on the page. If blogger won’t co-operate with you, try arranging your images onto a page in photoshop and then just importing the whole thing.
Well done.
